Children will be screened early and continuously for special health care needs.

Why is this important?
Infants and children with high-risk health conditions must be identified early in order to help assure that they receive care and resources to promote optimal development and to prevent future morbidity. Most states have a variety of early screening programs that require interagency efforts to assure that screening is early and continuous for all children.
