6 Performance Measures
These performance measures serve as a guide for states in meeting the goal of developing an effective system of services for all children with special health needs and their families by 2010.
- Families as Partners
- Access to Medical Home
- Early and Continuous Screening
- Adequate Insurance
- Organized Services
- Transition to Adulthood
These 6 measures were developed by the MCHB (Maternal and Child Health Bureau) in accordance with the requirements of the Government Performance and Results Acts (GPRA) of 1993 (Public Law 103-62). This Act requires the establishment of measurable goals for Federal programs that can be reported as part of the budgetary process, thus linking funding decisions with performance.
